A family built on adventure — from the kart track to the back roads of Oklahoma. Chris, Ginger, and Pip living loud and loving every lap. Plus Taboo the cat, Phineas the Shih Tzu, and Ferb the Standard Poodle keeping things lively at home.
"We're happiest when we're all together — whether it's chasing storms, watching Pip throw a kart sideways, or just piled on the couch with Taboo, Phineas, and Ferb fighting for the best spot."
— Chris Cheek
The people
Three people. One cat named Taboo. Two dogs — Phineas the Shih Tzu and Ferb the Standard Poodle. Endless energy, a garage full of kart parts, and a whole lot of love.
Product Portfolio Manager at QuikTrip by day, kart mechanic / data nerd / storm chaser the rest of the time. Twenty-plus years in software, with a hard pivot toward people leadership. Builds apps for fun and races karts for sport.
Get in touch →By day, Ginger manages a team of mental health specialists at Humana — bringing compassion and leadership to one of the most important jobs there is. By weekend, she's the glue holding the Cheek pit crew together. Tent staked, stopwatch ready, louder than the karts.
Birel ART C28 pilot. Ghost LO206 power. Junior I Cadet competitor running the Texas Sprint Racing Series, JRP Racing League, and DFW Triple Crown. 2nd overall in his debut 2025 season. Also runs a 3D printing shop — Pipz3dPrintz.
Full racing profile ↗On the track
Pip started racing in 2025 and immediately made his mark — finishing 2nd overall in the Tulsa Kart Club series in his very first season. Now running three series in 2026 on a new Birel ART chassis, he's just getting started.
When we're not at the track
The Cheeks are happiest when they're together — whether that's poolside, trackside, or parked next to a LaFerrari trying to get the perfect shot.
About Chris
Chris is a Product Portfolio Manager at QuikTrip — leading a Back Office team of ~16 people through everything from people development to enterprise software delivery. Twenty-plus years in the industry, from code-slinging to people leadership.
Off the clock he's a full-stack builder (Vue 3 / Firebase / .NET), a competitive kart racer, and an amateur storm chaser. He built pipcheek.com and kart-setup.com from scratch — because apparently weekends weren't busy enough.
